Help! I got a fuel leak

I've got a small seeping leak between my fuel rail and the JR adapter on the OEM fuel pressure regulator. My fuel pressure is fine. The O ring has been replaced once but is still leaking.
Has anyone experienced the same thing?

I haven't had a leak there, but I have taken the JR adapter off to be confronted by a totally shredded O-ring. It is easy to have the O-ring move when you install it. I dab a little general purpose grease on O-rings like this to hold them in place during installation.

I have been using non-fuel certified O-rings in there, expecting them to breakdown and leak, but so far (9 months/6000 miles) the standard O-ring I bought for it is doing just fine.

Neoprene O-rings are best for this, but hard to find in the right size. Most shops just have sets of neoprene o-rings for specific (stock) applications.
